Suryo Sasono
Suryo is the Executive Vice President of Human Capital Strategy & Talent Management at Bank BRI, where he leads the Center of Excellence functions, including rewards, performance, talent management, organizational development, and HC policy. He also serves on the Supervisory Board of the BRI Pension Fund, the largest self-managed pension fund in Indonesia.
With a career spanning diverse industries, Suryo has held pivotal roles across both HR and business operations. His previous leadership positions include Chief HR Officer at Prudential Syariah and Chief Talent Officer at Bukalapak, where he managed HR functions across Indonesia, Singapore, and Australia. Earlier in his career, he was a Project Leader at Boston Consulting Group, spearheading large-scale transformations in the telecommunications, energy, and banking sectors. His multidisciplinary expertise encompasses sales, operations, post-merger integration, and analytics.
Recognized as a thought leader, Suryo has been named one of Economic Times’ 100 Most Influential Leaders in Southeast Asia, an ETHR HR Icon (2024 & 2025), and one of Mercer’s 40 under 40 HR Leaders in Asia. He holds an MBA from INSEAD and a Bachelor’s in Industrial Engineering from ITB, where he currently serves as a lecturer.
